Fire Suppression Systems offered by MMR
The Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fire Suppression System is an engineered system using a fixed nozzle agent distribution network, hose reel or a combination of both. The CO2 System consists of a fixed supply of CO2 converted through a piping network and nozzles. MMR’s CO2 Systems are designed to extinguish fire by depleting oxygen in the room which supports combustion.
The Carbon Dioxide system is particularly useful for suppressing fires in hazards where an electrically non-conductive medium is essential or desirable; where clean-up of other agents presents a problem; or where the hazard obstructions require the use of a gaseous agent.
FM200 fire suppression is a waterless fire protection system that discharges into the risk within 10 seconds and suppresses the fire immediately. The FM200 is a chemical fire suppression gas and extinguishes fires by removing the free radicals or heat elements from the fire triangle – Oxygen, Heat and Fuel.
The main advantage of FM200 fire suppression is the small amount of agent required to suppress a fire. FM200 systems reach extinguishing levels in 10 seconds or less, stopping ordinary combustible, electrical, and flammable liquid fires before they cause significant damage. This means fewer cylinders, therefore less wasted space for storage of FM200 cylinders.
Novec1230 Fire Suppression Systems is a clean agent fire extinguishing agent that was developed as a halon replacement and hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) alternative. The Novec1230 fluid has the highest margin of safety for human occupancy among clean agents, including inert gas. The NOVEC1230 fluid has a global warming potential of 1, which is 99.9% lower than any halocarbon agent and a zero ozone depletion potential.
3M’s Novec1230 fluid extinguishes a fire before it starts by rapidly removing heat. In a typical total flooding system, the fluid is stored as a liquid in cylinders pressurised with nitrogen. Automatic detection sensors trigger release when the fire is at the incipient stage, extinguishing it in mere seconds.
